West Coast Treetop Walk: Fun For The Whole Family

Fun for the whole family at West Coast Tree Tops

The Treetop Walkway is an incredible attraction that opened in December 2012. It was initially built in Australia over the course of a month before being transported to the stunning West Coast of New Zealand. The construction of this magnificent structure involved the use of 13,500 bolts and was completed in just six weeks! This is just a sneak peek of what you can share with your little ones to get them excited about your upcoming adventure at the West Coast Treetop Walk.

In this blog, we’ll delve into what makes it one of the most family-friendly and fun-filled experiences that New Zealand has to offer. So, get ready to discover the magic of the Treetop Walkway and create unforgettable memories with your loved ones!

Treetop Walkway Adventure: A Family-Friendly Adventure

In today’s fast-paced technological world, it’s more important than ever to encourage children to connect with nature. And what better way to do so than with a thrilling adventure on the Treetop Walkway? This unforgettable experience takes your whole family on an approximately one-hour walk through the breathtaking West Coast rainforest treetops.

The best part? The walkway is accessible to everyone, making it the perfect activity for all ages and skill levels. With a platform that is 20 meters high and over 450 meters long, you’ll feel like you’re soaring among the birds in the ancient Kamahi and Rimu tree canopy.

The Treetop Walkway Adventure is a must-do activity and one of the top things to do in Hokitika, providing an excellent opportunity to teach children about the importance of connecting with nature and appreciating its beauty.

Teaching Our Little Ones To Protect & Preserve

At West Coast Treetops Walkway and Zipline, we take conservation seriously. We believe that it’s important to protect the environment for future generations, which is why we’re committed to keeping pests under control. Our humane traps on-site help protect wildlife, agriculture and private property from disease and destruction that predators cause.

But it’s not just about protecting the environment. It’s also about teaching our little ones to connect with nature and understand the importance of conservation efforts. That’s why we partner with Hokitika Scenic Tours to provide our customers with various trees to purchase for $10.

The funds raised from the tree sales are used to purchase humane automated traps placed in the Westland Forests. So bring the family and learn about conservation efforts while enjoying a fun-filled day at our Treetop Walkway and Café.
